It is recommended not to shower, sleep, exercise or expose your jewellery to chemicals (such as chlorine in tubs and swimming pools).  Copper and silver naturally darken over time due to oxidization.  To restore the lustre of your piece, rub the item with a silver polishing cloth.  Pieces can also be stored in an airtight bag.
